In this AMS tip we are going to review Account naming conventions and the Display Name field. As a friendly reminder, please consider proper capitalization and punctuation when entering new accounts. All proper noun portions of an Account Name should be capitalized. Also, abbreviations should not be used whenever possible ( "Saint" - not st., ST, snt, etc..). Uniformity is key. Avoid generic account names such as "high school cvod trial" as well. These practices will help in all avenues of account management from searching, reporting, order processing, and messaging. When reviewing a pending account submitted from the free trial page, you have the option to edit the account name. You may also update the account name at any time on the Account Details tab.
The Display Name field is also available to edit on any Account Details tab. The display name will ONLY affect what the customer sees on the Available Database's Page or the Streaming Video Platform. Any AMS related Order, Messaging, Reporting, or Searching function will use the actual Account name.
