Format: HD preferred, older or archival programs in SD accepted. Please DO NOT submit 4K or higher resolution files. Down-convert them to 1080i HD resolution files before sending.
Accepted Video File Formats: .mp4 and .mov are preferred. .mxf and .wmv accepted.
Encoding: Quicktime.mov formats in order of preference: ProRes 422 HQ, (preferred) DVCpro HD, DVCpro50, DV-NTSC, AVID DNxHD
Video Standard: NTSC and NTSC HD required, PAL and PAL HD accepted but will incur conversion charges. High frame rate HFR (60 fps etc.) accepted but not recommended. PLEASE KEEP THE FILE SIZE BELOW 20 GB. Large files dramatically increase handling and transcoding times, which delays us in getting your program up on the platform.
Aspect Ratio: 16:9 full-height anamorphic or older/archival programs in 4:3 full-frame aspect ratio accepted. Do NOT submit letter-boxed 4:3 or pillar-boxed 16:9 files. They will not display properly.
Audio: Fully mixed stereo on channels 1 and 2. NO multitrack audio accepted. NO SURROUND MIXES. You MUST mix down to 2 track stereo audio on your master file before sending!
Physical Delivery (preferred): File transfers of over 25 files need to be sent via a hard drive. Mac-formatted hard drives preferred. NTFS drives accepted. Hard drives with USB 3.0 or FireWire connectors are preferred. Flash drives and Data DVDs are also acceptable. Do not submit Blu-ray discs. DO NOT LOCK OR OTHERWISE COPY-PROTECT YOUR HARD DRIVES. We will not be able to use them. We reserve the right to rename your master files on your drives. Never send original files, always keep backups with you.
Closed Caption Files: IF YOU ARE SUPPLYING YOUR OWN CLOSED CAPTION FILES, THEY MUST BE IN.DFXP, .SCC or.SRT FORMAT. NO OTHER CC FORMATS ARE ACCEPTED. Please also use the same name as their corresponding video file, so we can match them.
Online Delivery (accepted): We use Signiant Media Shuttle service for online delivery. Please provide us with the name and email address of the person who will send us the file/s. We will set up a media shuttle account for him/her. Please contact Laura Rossetti (below) to arrange delivery.

SHIPPING INSTRUCTIONS
All masters and additional materials should be sent directly to David Giuffre, using a prepaid shipping method that includes tracking numbers. Unless specified in the contract, we will keep your hard drive or tape for the duration of the agreement. If you would like your materials returned, you must provide a prepaid shipping label or courier account number. UPS and USPS are our preferred couriers.
